Before You Buy, Please Read

Before this piece exists on your wall, it doesn’t exist anywhere — not in a warehouse, not in a box waiting for a random buyer. It comes into being the moment you click “buy.”

This isn’t arbitrary. One A4 sheet represents roughly 1/8000 of a tree. That sounds negligible — until you start counting in the thousands, regardless of whether the print ever finds its way to someone’s wall. I don’t want to be another stockroom full of prints that never found a home.

That’s why returns aren’t accepted, with two exceptions:

If your package arrives visibly damaged by the courier (crushed box, bent print, etc.) — please don’t accept it, and file a return claim instead. That’s the courier’s fault, so a replacement will be sent to you at no extra cost.

If you unpack the piece and notice a flaw — get in touch with me directly. Production, however rare, can have its imperfections, and 100% guarantees don’t exist. In that case, I’ll send you a new, flawless print right away.

In every other case, I ask you to trust your own judgment before buying — every doubt that turns into a “why not” purchase is a tree that might not have needed to be used.

On print quality and my responsibility

I never blindly trust the factory. Before a piece goes up in my shop, I check every single print myself — under the same lighting, next to the original canvas, comparing color to color, tone to tone. It often takes several attempts before the image is adjusted so that, once printed, the colors match the original exactly. Only once I’m fully convinced the print reflects what I saw on the canvas do I add it to my shop.

For this collection, that care goes one step further — these aren’t standard prints. They’re giclée.

Giclée isn’t a marketing word here; it refers to a specific printing process — fine-art inkjet technology using pigment-based inks, rather than the dye-based inks found in most consumer or commercial printers. Pigment particles sit on the surface of the paper instead of soaking into it, which means the colors stay true and resist fading for decades when kept out of direct sunlight — something dye-based prints simply can’t offer.

The paper carries just as much weight as the ink. These pieces are printed on archival, acid-free fine-art paper — often cotton-based — built specifically to hold pigment ink without yellowing, cracking, or degrading over time. It has a different texture, weight, and depth in hand than anything off a standard printer; it’s made to last as art, not as a disposable photo.

The other half of this is something I do myself, long before any file reaches a printer. Each painting is photographed at near-macro resolution — far beyond a typical product shot — so the source file carries an exceptionally high DPI. That’s what allows even large-format prints to hold their sharpness: brushstrokes, fine texture, subtle gradients all stay crisp instead of breaking down as the size increases. From normal viewing distance, it’s genuinely difficult to tell you’re looking at a print rather than the original canvas.

A note on framing

These prints are sold unframed. Every interior is different, and the wrong frame can quietly ruin a piece — or simply clash with your space. I’d recommend having it framed by a professional, bringing along a photo of the room where it will hang. That way they can see your walls, your furniture, your light, and help you choose a frame that makes the piece stand out, rather than disappear into the wall behind it.
